A year ago, our family came together during a sad and difficult time. Brian’s dad had been very sick with cancer and we knew a photo of his grandchildren would bring a smile to his face. Our session occurred last minute and honestly, had been hard for everyone. We had come together for a specific reason and I am so thankful we did. Grandpa Mike would receive that photograph, see HERE, days before his passing. That framed image remained directly in his eyesight, until his last moments.

Brian would lose both of his parents to cancer in 2016. These tragedies continue to remind us just how precious every day and every moment is. Spend time with those you truly care about. Capture the moments and don’t take them for granted.

Shooting Austin Family Photography, I am blessed to be able to capture so many other families moments. I am able to freeze those in time and I am so thankful for this.

When I reached out to my sister in law and mentioned wanting to do this session, I thought of the perfect place, the perfect color scheme, and even perfect pose.  Sometimes during an Austin Family Photography session, the shoot doesn’t end up quite how you think it will go. Thankfully it ends up perfectly how it should. This session was so perfectly imperfect. I could not help but sit back and laugh. The location is gorgeous and all the kids look amazing. Trying to get four little ones to stand still to get one pose I REALLY wanted, well that proved much harder. This session would show sometimes, the outtakes are the best images.  THIS image pretty much sums it all up.

Six months has got to be the absolute cutest age ever and yes it totally gives me the baby itches. Now if only they would actually stay that perfect size with the cutest personalities. I absolutely love it, which is why being a baby photographer in Austin Tx is such an amazing perk!! I know I say that at almost every stage, but as soon as I get to photograph a 6 month session, I just fall in love all over again.

During bluebonnet season, I met this precious little girl for their family mini session, see HERE. When mom  booked Annika’s 6 month session, I was overjoyed! We decided on the perfect location for the session, a little trail that ended at this gorgeous watering hole. The location was an absolute Austin gem! During the hike, we stopped throughout at various spots to grab some photos and let the girls explore. Once we reached the watering hole, it was even better than I had imagined. The entire location was like our own private oasis. Finally to end the session, both girls wanted nothing else than to play in the water. It was the perfect way to end our session.
