“Let me start out by saying my husband and I had really no idea what to expect.  We both were a bit apprehensive in booking family portraits because we felt that a stranger taking our photos would be a bit uncomfortable.  We were SO far from the truth!  We are so grateful we found Courtney and decided to get our family session done.  She came highly recommended by many different mothers.  Immediately, Courtney put us at ease with her professionalism and absolutely amazing attitude.  Not only did we think she was awesome, so did our one year old!  Courtney took some one year/cake smash photos of our daughter and Finn loved her!  Courtney made her smile and had some pretty great tricks up her sleeve to illicit some perfect shots.  There is a specific shot of Finn, in a tutu, in the middle of a bridge at the park we shot at.  That picture is absolutely stunning.  So much so, it caught me off guard when she sent me the proofs.  I almost cried!  Our experience was great and the beautiful photos Courtney captured are such special memories that we will have forever.  I can’t wait for our next round of photos with Courtney!  Maybe some maternity shots soon? :)” – Robin

This was one of my favorite sessions as an Austin child photographer! Not only did Robin and I immediately connect when we were first messaging about their session but the day of the shoot could not have gone any smoother and easier. Finnley was such a happy and easy going baby! We were rushing around a bit to beat the light since we wanted to do the cake smash right at sunset and it didn’t phase her one bit! This location happens to be extremely busy in the evenings so getting the amazing bridge shot, HERE, which I seriously just love, it usually takes some time to allow for people that are jogging or cycling by. We were able to get that shot in the first couple of shoots which almost never happens! I loved it and knew right when I got it that it would probably be my favorite.

Once we were ready for the cake smash, Finnley was starting to get a little tired but as soon as she dug in and tasted the cake, she loved it! Mom did such a good job on her outfits, cake and balloon! It turned out perfect!

I can’t wait to work with this family again!

Being an Austin family lifestyle portrait photographer has to be one of the best “jobs”, if you can call it that. I love when I get to meet back up with a previous client for updated photos and get to see how their family has changed and grown.

I was so excited when Gina contacted me to do family photos and her son’s one year pictures! I met Gina and her husband this time last year to do her maternity photos and can not believe it was already time to do a 1 year session! Sweet little Noah was so much fun to work and play with. He was one happy baby!  We decided to end the session with a cake smash and he of course loved the cake! Check out his adorable gallery below!
