Austin Family Photographer – Beautiful Ethan AKA “Curls”

I am so excited to share this little guy’s story. I met so many amazing families and as an Austin Family Photographer, it is one of the reasons I love doing what I do. This family will truly capture your hearts just like they did mine.

I met this family back in November for my yearly Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions, see their session HERE. Suchan and I had been messaging back and forth before the session in preparation. When they arrived for their session, I got that feeling, you know the feeling you get when you meet someone and feel like you have known them forever? It was that feeling. Suchan is warm and kind and just a true pleasure to be around. Her husband Matt was the exact same. Then I met their sweet gorgeous little Ethan, whom his parents lovingly call “Curls” or “Curlsy”. I instantly just fell in love with this entire family. Ethan was so fun the entire session. He loved looking around, playing on the tricycle and playing peek-a-boo. At the end of the session, we got the best smile and giggles which just made for the perfect ending, see HERE.

Suchan and I became Facebook friends and shortly after our session, in December, I read Ethan was diagnosed with SPG47, Spastic Paraplegia. He is one of a dozen people in the world diagnosed with this extremely rare brain disorder. KVUE did a wonderful story on Ethan and his fight, go read it HERE.

Several months ago I got to see this gorgeous family again to get some updated images of Ethan. I was so excited to get to see them again and so amazed at all the process Ethan had made in just 5 short months.  It was another great session with this family and such a joy to spend time with them. At one point, dad was getting the biggest giggles out of Ethan and they were just so contagious. I could have watched him laugh all evening. See one of those great shots, HERE. I even got the best kisses from Ethan once the session was over. He is a true joy to be around and one of the sweetest little boys.
